What this desk does
It explains, in a desk-reference format: why soft-tissue pain arrives late, what whiplash is in the San Diego merge and intersection context, how the injury is documented, what the imaging shows, how long recovery takes — as a range — and how the claims structure works. Each file stands alone and links forward to the next logical one.
Grounding rules
- Every statutory or medical claim maps to a public source listed at the foot of the file.
- No invented statistics, averages, verdicts, or anecdotes. Where a number would be useful but no public source exists, the file says so — and explains the structure instead.
- No medical advice and no legal advice, ever. Where a file approaches that line, it states the rule and stops.
What is never published
- Advertising, sponsored content, or affiliate links.
- Referrals to any particular attorney, clinic, or provider.
- Testimonials, reviews, or case stories — real or invented.
- Content written to satisfy an algorithm rather than a reader.
The desk network
This desk is one of a small network of editorial desk references, each with its own domain and its own subject. The sister publications are the California Soft Tissue Desk (the statewide soft-tissue file), the San Diego Car Accident Law Desk, the Car Accident Injury Desk, the Workers' Comp Claim Desk, and the Concussion Settlement Law Desk. Files cross-link where the topics meet — editorially, never promotionally.
Authorship
Files are written and reviewed by the desk's editorial system under the byline "San Diego Soft Tissue Desk — Editorial". No outside contributor, sponsor, or client influences content, and no individual is credited by name — the desk is the author. If that ever changes, this page will say so before anything else.
Corrections
Errors are corrected on the record: the file is fixed, the correction is noted here with its date, and the file's review date is updated. No silent edits.
Current record: no corrections outstanding as of October 15, 2026. A correction log will appear here when the first correction occurs.
Content dependencies (what this desk still needs)
Two planned additions require data this desk does not yet hold: a San Diego County crash-pattern brief built from public CHP SWITRS data, and a local provider-resource directory review refreshed against current county listings. Until the data is in hand, these files do not exist — this desk does not ship placeholders.
